Big Country Fire Fighters Association Minutes Date: July 27, 2009 Place: Tye Host: Time: 1920 Training/Vendor: Don Cobb from Dyess Air Force Base (Dispatch 696-2486) talked about plane crashes. Best thing is to contain the grass fire around the downed plane. Dyess will try to notify the dept. before hand, because Dyess usually know when a plane is in trouble. B-1 has 4 personnel and may have weapons on it. C-130 has 5 personnel and plus a large number of personnel and no weapons. If personnel (pilot) ejects and is seriously injuryed you can get Air evac headed to the scene and start first aid. Bill Steele from SFA, Haskell, Tx is now carrying almost anything a fire dept. needs: boots, both rubber and leather, bunker gear. The only thing he can not get right now is air bags. Meeting: I.
